The Prime Minister of Pakistan has introduced a new website called Pakistan Code. This website allows people to easily access federal laws. There are also mobile apps for Android and iOS devices, although the iOS app is currently in beta.
The main goal of the Pakistan Code is to provide easy access to federal laws for everyone, including the general public, judges, lawyers, law students, and researchers. You can use this service on any device, anytime and anywhere.
The website has a wide range of laws available for searching, including criminal, medical, and civil laws, among others. You can even search for laws dating back over fifty years. Right now, the website has 943 Federal Laws listed, starting from 1839 up to the present.
It also includes important documents like The Constitution of Pakistan and Rules of Business. The app includes a QR Code feature for quickly finding Federal Laws. The laws on the website are carefully checked, proofread, and reviewed.
To ensure security, the website has taken steps to prevent cyber-attacks as directed by the NTISB.
The Prime Minister praised the efforts of various individuals involved in creating the Pakistan Code website and apps, including the Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazir Tarar, Parliamentary Secretary Mehnaz Akbar Aziz, and Secretary Law Raja Naeem Akbar.
The Prime Minister mentioned that the launch of the Pakistan Code app is a historic moment that will lead to the digitalization of laws in Pakistan.
