The upcoming OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, set to be revealed on August 16, has confirmed the longstanding rumors. OnePlus has officially announced that the Ace 2 Pro will indeed come with an impressive 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
While having so much RAM might not be essential for a smartphone, it does make for an attention-grabbing headline.
Although OnePlus hasn’t revealed the exact storage capacity for the 24 GB RAM model, AnTuTu suggests it will likely offer a generous 1 TB of onboard storage. Furthermore, there will be another option with 16 GB of RAM, possibly providing either 256 GB or 512 GB of storage, although this specific detail hasn’t been verified.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the Ace 2 Pro will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, featuring a 6.74″ 120Hz 1.5K OLED display. This screen supports HDR10+ and has a pixel density of 450 ppi.
Powering the device is a 5,000 mAh battery, which is advertised to fully charge in just 17 minutes using the included 150W GaN charger. Importantly, this charger also supports 45W USB PD charging. As for wireless charging, there is no information available yet.
With the official unveiling still a week away, OnePlus is likely to gradually reveal more features of the Ace 2 Pro, aiming to build excitement and anticipation for its launch. It’s important to note that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will essentially be a Chinese version of a phone that will probably have a more familiar name in the international market.
